Job Description:
As the Senior Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the financial health of the Company. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and oversee the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and provide strategic recommendations to enhance profitability.
P&L Management: Take ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis. Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
Cash Flow Management: Manage and optimize the company’s cash flow, ensuring liquidity and financial stability. Implement effective cash management strategies to support operational needs.
Treasury: Oversee treasury functions, including managing banking relationships and optimizing working capital. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
VAT Filing: Ensure timely and accurate filing of Value Added Tax (VAT) returns. Stay informed about changes in VAT regulations and adjust processes accordingly.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. Provide insights into financial performance and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Cost Management: Implement cost-effective measures and strategies to optimize operational efficiency. Conduct regular cost analyses to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Forecasting and Trend Analysis: Utilize financial models and data analysis to forecast future trends and market dynamics. Provide insights into potential risks and opportunities based on industry trends.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to align financial strategies with overall business objectives. Collaborate on cross-functional projects to drive organizational success.
Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate financial terms in contracts with vendors, suppliers, and other business partners. Ensure favorable terms that align with the company’s financial goals.
Financial Systems and Technology Integration: Stay abreast of advancements in financial technology and recommend system enhancements or new technologies to streamline financial processes. Lead the integration of financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Performance Metrics and KPIs: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and assess financial performance. Establish benchmarks and targets to drive continuous improvement.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
Strategic Financial Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s long-term financial strategy. Provide strategic financial guidance to support the achievement of business objectives.
Qualifications
Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
Proven experience as a Finance Manager in the retail industry, preferably within the fashion sector.
In-depth knowledge of financial management, P&L analysis, cash flow management, treasury functions and budgeting.
Strong understanding of VAT regulations and experience in VAT filing.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
